Moro Rock Sequoia National Park Hike

Moro Rock Sequoia National Park Hike

December 13, 2022 The Virtual Sherpa Comments 0 Comment

Moro Rock is a quick hike that takes hikers up to a unique dome viewpoint within Sequoia National Park in California. The paved path up to the top of this granite dome is narrow in spots with some fairly big drop offs along the way to the top. However, the entire hike is fenced in with numerous handrails and guardrails. I would consider this trail suitable for hikers of all skill levels.

Moro Rock Hike Trip Report: October 2022

Jackie and I had spent the previous afternoon driving through Sequoia National Park but had a bit more time to explore. Instead of just doing hiking, we checked out the roadside attractions and visitor’s center. However, we did want to snag another quick hike and decided to check out Moro Rock.

Even with all the crowds, this was a quick and unique hike with great views from the top. For those who are afraid of heights or exposure – there are a few spots that might be tricky, but nothing crazy.  This is a great spot that is perfect to combine with Little Baldy Dome and General Sherman Tree.
