Yo Colorado Sock Review

August 22, 2016 The Virtual Sherpa Comments 1 comment

When I hit the trail, I need a sock that is light, breathable and it never hurts to have a sweet design on them. Meet the Yo Colorado Blue Flag Mountain Socks.

My trip to The Fly involved a night of camping where I generally only bring one pair of socks (I know its gross, cry me a river). Before I went to bed, I washed the Yo Colorado socks in a nearby creek and they were dry by the morning. Huge, huge plus for any pair of socks. These socks were extremely comfortable and I received lots of compliments during both days of hiking. I tend to sweat like a monster and the COOLMAX® fabric that these socks are made of was extremely forgiving for the rivers of sweat running down my legs. I ordered a large, which was perfect for my size 12 hiking boot. The cut of the sock went about 2 inches above my pair of hiking boots and provided plenty of support during the 10+ miles of hiking.

If you are looking for a super warm pair of socks, these probably are not your best bet. However, for a spring or summertime activity (hiking, running, biking etc.) I would highly recommend the Yo Colorado Flag socks. If you are looking for a higher cut, you can check out the Yo Colorado Incline Hiker wool socks.

Update 1 Year Later: After a year and a handful of months of using the Yo Colorado socks, they are still in great shape. I often use these socks to run in, hike in, bike in and of course casually wear. They have not formed any holes and while they have stretched, they still have a snug fit on my feet. I hope to pick up another pair in the future and continue to recommend them.
